I arrived here with my son from the bay of Biscay. And we got to some paradise places. A land of waterfalls, eucaliptus, sandy beaches, picturesque islands, magical fjords of Rias Altas and Rias Baixas.
Though Galicia is a small part on the route, I have spent the most time in different places in Galicia. A couple of months in Viveiro, then we have left the boat in A Coruña for winter and then moved her to Vigo before going further.
I can say that Galicia is the best region for sailing on this route. It is not that cold as in Sweden and places are also stunning with untouched nature. For some unknown reason, Galicia is not so popular and crowded.
Rias Altas
Cedeira is an amazing anchorage. Viveiro is a marina in a small town where you can take a bicycle for rent and explore surroundings. Those were the first places in Galicia I saw. Simply amazing. I didn’t know that later in Rias Baixas there is even more to see.
